Babysitting is usually a teenager’s first attempt at building and running a small business. Parks and Recreation has a Child and Babysitting safety class that is designed to engage and inform the aspiring babysitter. The class provides everything you need to know, from getting started and securing that first babysitting job, to interacting with parents and children, to key safety, caregiving and first aid tips.
With summer on the way, parents and care givers are always looking for skilled and mature babysitters. The class is being held on Wednesday, June 14 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. at the Ashcake Volunteer Rescue Squad #13, 8375 New Ashcake Rd, Mechanicsville, VA, 23116. Class fee is $50 per participant and registration can be taken at www.hanoverparksrec.com. Students ages 12 and up, registration deadline is Tuesday, June 13. No on site registrations will be accepted.
