A groundbreaking ceremony for the new Atlee Library will be held on Wednesday, May 15, at 4:30 p.m. located at the corner of US Route 301 and Rutlandshire Drive, future site of the new library, where construction has begun. It will take approximately one year to complete.
Representatives of the Hanover County Board of Supervisors and Pamunkey Regional Library Board will speak during the short ceremony.
The new Atlee Library will be the County’s first two-story library and will replace the storefront facility in the Atlee Square Shopping Center.
