[ARCHIVED] Angela Kelly-Wiecek to hold Community Meeting at Pearson's Corner on March 27

Chickahominy District Supervisor, Angela Kelly-Wiecek, will hold a Community Meeting on March 27, 2018.  The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. and take place at the Pearson’s Corner Elementary School library.

During the town hall-style meeting, Ms. Kelly-Wiecek will provide a brief overview of the county’s proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year as well as information related to public projects.  The Board’s public hearing on the proposed budget will be held on April 4. This meeting will also have a specific focus on transportation issues and updates to the 2018 Comprehensive Plan.

“I look forward to this town hall meeting every year, as it is a wonderful opportunity for citizen input and engagement.  We want this meeting to be equally informative but more importantly interactive.  While most of the information we have to share is very positive, there are serious issues to be addressed in the coming years and our citizens deserve to know the facts so they can shape our priorities,” commented Ms. Kelly-Wiecek.  “We want to share the whole story, long term impacts, and address everyone’s continuing concerns in a less formal, more conversational way.  Accordingly, the focus of my meeting will be determined by what the citizens wish to discuss that night.”

The majority of the meeting will be dedicated to a question and answer format.  Representatives and staff from various departments will be available to help answer questions.

While this meeting is targeted to Chickahominy residents, all interested citizens are welcome.
