[ARCHIVED] Prime Timers Prepare for Spring

Flower in Container

Seniors ages 50 and better are invited to join the Prime Timers for some great activities and lots of laughter and fun as we socialize and meet new friends. The Prime Timers meets monthly on the third Thursday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Hanover County Parks & Recreation Taylor Complex Office located at 13017 Taylor Complex Lane, Ashland.

Enjoy a covered dish lunch during the months of April and June. On the alternate months, the group visits a local restaurant to continue the fellowship.

The first day of spring is almost here and it’ll be time to come out of hibernation! A Master Gardener from the Virginia Cooperative Extension Office will join us on Thursday, March 15 to help us prepare for spring. We’ll learn how to plant and take care of flowers in containers and keep them looking pretty. Find out why plants are important to us.

It’s free to attend, register today!  For more information and to register visit the Hanover County Parks & Recreation website at or call 804-365-7150.
