Plan your next get away with Hanover County Parks & Recreation. On Tuesday, April 3 we’re off to Washington D.C. to witness the incredible cherry blossoms. Spend time at the FDR Memorial where you will find the most cherry blossoms. You will see even more cherry blossoms during our premier lunch aboard the Odyssey. The boat has a unique design that allows for travel beneath the historic bridges spanning the Potomac. Later in the afternoon, we will tour the National Museum of American History. This grand experience includes round-trip motorcoach transportation, a premier lunch cruise, refreshments served aboard the motorcoach, tax and gratuity of inclusions and driver gratuity. In keeping with our celebration of spring, we will head to Norfolk on Tuesday, May 22. The first steps of this tour includes the best attractions that Norfolk has to offer. In the morning, enjoy a Naval Station Norfolk Tour guided by Navy personnel. We will see awe-inspiring aircraft carriers, and formidable cruisers and destroyers. Followed by lunch at the popular Freemason Abbey Restaurant. In the afternoon, enjoy a 45 minute narrated tram ride though the Norfolk Botanical Garden. This adventure includes round-trip motorcoach transportation, a guided tour of the Naval Base, refreshments served aboard the motorcoach, lunch at Freemason Abbey Restaurant, admission and tram ride at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens, tax and gratuity on lunch and driver gratuity.
