[ARCHIVED] Veteran's Day Ceremony at Wayside Park on November 11

On Saturday, Nov 11 at 2:00 p.m., the public is invited to attend the Hanover County Veterans Day Program being held at the Hanover Veterans Memorial located at Hanover Wayside Park.


Veterans who have served and are currently serving to insure our freedom will be honored.  Brigadier General Walter L. Mercer, Assistant Adjutant General for the Virginia Army National Guard will be the Honored Guest Speaker.  The Benediction and Invocation will be offered by Lt. Terry Sullivan of the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office.  The National Anthem will be performed by the Honorable Charles McGee and Mr. Aubrey Stratton of VFW Post 9808 will lead the Pledge of Allegiance.
