F. Michael Herzberg, IV, was elected to the Board of Supervisors in November 2019, and is serving his first term. He has been a Hanover resident for more than 27 years. Michael has been serving Hanover residents as a master HVAC and a master gasfitter for more than 27 years, and is also a small business owner. Mr. Herzberg serves on the Board's Facility Space Needs, Roads and Rules Committees and as an alternate on the Joint Education Committee. He also represents the Board on the James River Advisory Council, the Metropolitan Richmond Air Quality Committee and the Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission.
Education & Organizations
Mr. Herzberg regularly attends Grace United Family Church on Beulah Church Road. He recently completed the Citizens Police Academy with the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office. Michael is a member of the Mechanicsville Businessmen’s Association and the Mechanicsville Ruritan Club. He also attended Richmond Technical Center and Rutgers University.
Mr. Herzberg has two sons, one adult and one toddler. His favorite hobbies are playing with his toddler and taking him for walks in the wagon. He is currently raising baby box turtles and has a turtle farm.
