  1. Facility Space Needs Committee

    The purpose of the Facility and Space Needs Committee is to evaluate information presented, discuss objectives and reach decisions concerning new capital projects, space needs and improvement and modification of existing facilities.

  2. Finance Committee

    The Finance Committee serves as the board’s liaison with staff for all financial and human resource policies, debt issuance, budget, audit and other fiscal and employee benefit topics.

  3. Greater Richmond Convention Center Authority

    The Greater Richmond Convention Center Authority provides oversight over the convention center and its contracted operating agents.

  4. Greater Richmond Partnership, Inc.

    The purpose of the Greater Richmond Partnership is to help grow the greater Richmond economy through the attraction of high quality jobs and new capital investment, the retention of existing businesses, and the continued improvement of the region's business climate.

  5. Hanover Airport Advisory Committee

    The Hanover Airport Advisory Committee's purpose is to provide citizen input regarding the management and operation of the Hanover County Airport.

  6. Hanover & Ashland Liaison Committee

    The purpose of the Hanover and Ashland Liaison Committee is to provide a forum for representatives of the town and county to discuss matters of mutual interest.

  7. Hanover County Council on Aging

    The council serves as a consultative and advisory body for the Board of Supervisors and other county boards, commissions, agencies and departments on issues pertaining to the quality of life of the citizens of Hanover County ages 50 and over.

  8. Hanover County Court Appointed Special Advocate

    The purpose of the Hanover Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program Evaluation Committee is to provide feedback to paid and volunteer staff of the Hanover CASA program. The committee is charged with providing to the administrator of Community Resources a report on the Hanover CASA program.

  1. Hanover County Trust Finance Board

    The Governmental Accounting Standard Board (GASB) issued Statement 45 in June 2004 which establishes standards for the measurement, recognition and display of other post-employment benefits (OPEB) expenditures and related liabilities on the financial statements of state and local government employers.

  2. Hanover Veterans Committee

    The Hanover Veterans Committee was formed to establish a memorial to honor members of Hanover County who gave their lives in the service of our country.

  3. Hanover-Caroline Soil-Water Conservation District

    The purpose of the Hanover-Caroline Soil and Water Conservation District to provide and promote leadership in the conservation of natural resources through proper stewardship and educational programs.

  4. Historic Courthouse Area Advisory Committee

    The Historic Courthouse Area Advisory Committee provides advice to the Board of Supervisors and County Administration regarding proposals for activities, events, funding and future plans that are proposed within the historic courthouse area.

  5. Historical Commission

    The Historical Commission serves as a consultative and advisory body for the Board of Supervisors and other county commissions, agencies and departments on the preservation and promotion of the county's historic heritage.

  6. J.S. Reynolds Community College Board of Directors

    The purpose of the J.S. Reynolds Community College Board of Directors is to act in an advisory capacity to the State Board for Community Colleges and perform such duties with respect to the operations of the College as may be delegated to it by the State Board.

  7. James River Advisory Council

    The advisory council serves as a forum for the interests along the James River in central Virginia and communicates with public officials regarding issues and challenges facing the river and its resources.

  8. Joint Education Committee

    The purpose of the Joint Education Committee is to have Board of Supervisors and their appointed School Board representatives further collaborate on issues of mutual interest on behalf of the citizens, students and businesses in the county.
