Absentee Voting

All registered voters of the Commonwealth of Virginia may now cast an absentee ballot without needing a reason.  These voters must request an absentee ballot from their County/City General Registrar/Director of Elections office.

Applications can be completed at www.elections.virginia.gov or request an application by calling our office. To complete the process online, the voter must provide their DMV ID (driver’s license) AND social security number. If the voter chooses to download and use a paper form, it must be signed and mailed to:

The ballot drop box is located on the North East side of the Wickham building.   This drop box will be available 24 hours a day and under surveillance during active voting starting on Friday, September 18 - Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 7 PM.

Early VotingEarly Voting

Starts Friday, September 18th - Saturday, October 31st 

Office hours: Monday - Friday from 8:30AM - 5PM and the last two Saturdays before the election from 9AM - 5PM.

Voters will be able to visit the Wickham building 7497 County Complex road at the Hanover County Government Complex to cast their ballot in person for:

  • President and Vice President
  • Member United States Senate
  • Member House of Representatives - 1st Congressional District
  • Two Constitutional Amendments

Curbside Voting:  Is always available during office hours.  Dedicated parking spaces are posted near the ballot drop box.

Voting At The Polls

All polling locations will be open on Election Day from 6 AM - 7 PM.
