Make a difference in the summer: lead, plan, coach, and mentor at summer youth programs. We offer a collection of dynamic summer day camps.
We look for highly motivated, caring, creative and energetic individuals to work as recreation aides, therapeutic recreation aides, recreation supervisors and to volunteer in our Leaders-in-Training program. The work is challenging and stressful at times, but also fun and rewarding.
Duties for each position vary, but everyone will:
Be an active, positive role model for children
Develop creative camp programs and activity ideas
Lead children in camp activities (crafts, sports, games, camp-wide activities, etc.)
Establish behavioral expectations and appropriate consequences for campers
All staff members and volunteers must commit to participating in scheduled staff training dates. These training sessions are critical to:
Review the current job expectations and standards
Share ideas, concepts and learning experiences from co-workers

Applications for paid summer positions (recreation aides, therapeutic recreation aides and recreation supervisors) and volunteer positions (Leaders-in-Training for rising 9th - 12th graders) will be posted online at www.hanovercountyjobs.com.
