Important COVID-19 Update:

In conjunction with the executive orders of the Governor implementing Phase III of the Forward Virginia plan, effective July 1, all permitted use of athletic fields, picnic shelters and historic sites has resumed. Park playgrounds and Pole Green skate park have reopened. Others areas of Hanover County parks remain open, including open spaces, trails and dog parks.

Be advised that amenities throughout the parks are not sanitized, so use with caution and follow the CDC health and safety guidelines. We reiterate the critical importance of following physical distancing guidelines and avoidance of gatherings and group activities.

Limited recreation programs have resumed based on the Forward Virginia reopening plan and CDC Health and Safety Guidelines.
