Youth Police Academy

Program Overview

The Youth Citizens Police Academy (YCPA) is a five-day course offering the youth in our county the opportunity to learn about their law enforcement agency.  Participants learn about the how’s and why’s of police work to include traffic stops and crime scene investigation.  They will observe the functions of specialized units such as high risk entry team and K9, will be engaged in many hands-on exercises, and see live demonstrations by deputies.
